Much as I would like to take credit, once again the great Mark Steyn has created a memorable phrase: "warm monger".
Now that John McCain has bought into this global warming baloney hook, line and sinker (just when scientists are saying uh, well, you see, it turns out that the world hasn't gotten any warmer in the last decade) and now has a plan to bankrupt the world economy in order to be stylish, he'd better hope that he can come up with some reason for folks like me to vote for him just before November. Personally I'm getting a little tired of his constant reminders of why he shouldn't be president.
Because of his personal history, and good positions on some things that matter to me, I am willing to forgive much. But the pile of much is getting higher and higher.

I believe he's just pandering to the Dems turned off by the current Democratic Presidential candidates. Come on, how many campaign promises have most Presidents kept? Certainly, not all of them nor even most of them.

Nah. He really means this one. And I hate to think I will be casting my vote based on the hope that my candidate will break his promises.
I've never believed a candidate would, should or could keep campaign promises. Once elected to office not only is the shoe on the other foot, the playing field has changed. Also, one has access to new information and, hopefully, realizes that one represents both the majority and minority voters. Getting elected to office is a different skill set than being a good President. I think McCain has the skill set to be a good President and once elected will do what's right for America regardless of campaign promises.
Here's another way of putting it: Campaign promises from non-incumbents candidates are like child rearing advice from non-parents, totally lacking the experience an wisdom of the office.

Where'd you read that?
Don't know where the Judge read it, but I saw a very interesting piece, in of all places, the Boston Globe a couple months back. The latest data shows that there has been ZERO increase in the average global temperature over the last 10 years. Meanwhile, the average temperature of the Planet Mars HAS increased. Must be all those damn probes we keep sending up...
